Psalm 127 tells us that children are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. Arrows cannot strike their chosen target until they are released by the archer. But how does a parent know when a son or daughter is ready to be released? How are they to be prepared to ‘hit the bull’s-eye’ according to God’s standards? How does the parent-child relationship change when a young person gets married or becomes legally an adult? These are among the trickiest questions a parent faces.
