Testing and Evaluation: Understanding Standardized Achievement Tests

You ask, “Why do we need to take those annual tests?” It’s a homeschooling mandate, so we do it; but can there actually be a benefit to the testing process? What constitutes a good score? A bad score? What do the scores mean? If we’re not following the standard scope and sequence, how can we study toward these tests? Or can we study for them?
