GYPSY SMITH (1860-1947) never held an evenagelistic meeting without conversations. In the Paris Opera house, he had 150 conversations from the "cream" of Parisian society. Smith was born in Leystone, England, and converted at age 15. He traveled with General William Booth's mission for a time, after which he began the Gypsy Gospel Wagon Mission. He conducted evangelistic meetings for 70 years. In the course of this he circumvented the world twice.
