Modern Existential Theology (The Fifth Step in the Line of Despair)

Before Rousseau, Kant, Hegel, and Kierkegaard, man had a basis for truth. Now, modern theology is Under the Line of Despair and shows an absolute dichotomy between God's truth and modern man's truth. The three great founders of secular existentialism are Kant, Heidegger, and Jaspers. Barth championed existential theology. Secular and theological existentialism are the same in that they require a 'leap of faith'. New theology is anti-theology and is simply a new kind of existential thinking that is very different from the Reformation that was a Biblical system pitted against a man-made system.
