In 1776, a group of common citizens with a biblical model, a vision for the future, and an unshakable faith in an Almighty God, began to change the way the world looked at civil government. These civilians chose not to be afraid of what was, but to stand confidently for what should be. That is our heritage as Americans. Today, God has given to each of us the responsibility of maintaining that system of government. This is why MÂCHÉ so strongly encourages all its members to be actively involved in both their local and state politics; and it is for this reason that MÂCHÉ has put together this opportunity to spend two full days learning about the legislative process "up close and personal".
So are you willing to get invoved but just don't know quite where to start? Well, we can help with that!
Designed specifically for homeschoolers, this event provides both students and parents the chance to observe and practice the legislative process while learning about the inner workings of state government through interactive workshops and presentations. Tours teach you how to navigate the Capitol building on your own. Also, take this opportunity to learn some basic protocol on how and when to meet with your legislators. Discover the best ways to obtain documents and how to check the status of a bill, and when a bill actually becomes law.
Prepare to register and reserve your place at MÂCHÉ's next Legislative Training Days to be held February of 2013!

Other Opportunities:
Where do we go from here?
There are many ways in which young people can get even more closely involved with legislators, the legislative process, and politics in general. A few of these are...
- High School Page Program
- Get involved in your local caucus
- Volunteer for a local candidate
Ask yourself what issues are important to you. Then do your homework! Is there a special group of people or a particular cause that you could work with? Discuss it with your family! Is there something you could all do together? And last but not least - Pray about it! Little is much when God is in it!
