Finding the Balance of Love and Discipline

Most child-rearing books are balanced more heavily on one side or the other of the love/discipline scale. Because most of us have a precondition in our beliefs that is also imbalanced, it is easy to find sup- port for “our side” of the argument that “the children need more love” versus “the children need more discipline”. It is the proper balance of these two sides that turns children into whole and healthy adults, both emotionally and spiritually.
