Hope for Parents Raising Kids with Fetal Alcohol

This is not a FASD-101 class. We will look at FASD from a parent’s perspective and learn hands-on parenting techniques that sometimes actually work. We will cover such topics as the importance of being calm (and how to achieve it most of the time), of not shaming or blaming, of recognizing just the facts, and of not judging their hearts. How do you know when an issue is organic brain damage or them just being bad? What is the father’s role? How do you define success? ...plus a whole lot more. This class is also helpful for parents raising and schooling children with attachment disorder, adoption issues, childhood trauma, or serious behavioral problems.
