Are you having trouble with the registration process? Does it seem like we are sold out? You are not alone in these questions. To help serve you better, please follow these instructions when registering for the convention.
February 1-15 registration is open to Family and Missional Partners ONLY. Not a partner? Do you want to reserve your seats now at a 20% discount? Then join today, click here.
Registration process:
Step 1: Please log into your MACHE account. Or create an account to begin the registration process.
Step 2: Register for each person who will be attending the convention. There are 4 registration categories.
- Choose from the following options in the drop down menu: Adult, Youth (ages 19 months to 16 years old), Teen Track (ages 12-18), or Grandparent (FREE) registrations.
- Provide the "quantity" of people in your order party - 2 Adults, 1 Youth, 3 Teen Track and so forth. You will need to add adult registrations to the cart first, then add youth registrations to the cart
- Be sure to fill in the fields requested for each. We need that information in order to create name tags. Please also be sure that you are filling out first name, last name. We have received a number of registrations with the reverse.
- Please answer the 3 questions for each registrant: Do you need an ASL interpreter?; Is this your first homeschool convention?; Will you be attending the used book/curriculum sale on Thursday, May 16th?
Step 3: After you have added your Adult, Youth, Teen Track, and Grandparent registrations, you may like to register for the following Add-Ons: Leadership Forum (open to all leaders and their fellow board members in the homeschool community), Men's Breakfast, and/or the Family Friendly Clean Comedy Night with Daren Streblow.
- Scroll to the bottom of the registration page to find "2024 MÂCHÉ Convention Add-Ons Registration"

Step 4: If you wish to pre-order the convention audio bundle, please add to your cart now.
NOTE: If you will be volunteering, please stop the registration process until you have been given a volunteer coupon code to use at the time of checkout.
Step 5: Click the blue button "View Cart" to review your order. If all is correct, please continue to step 6.
Step 6: Begin checkout
- If you are volunteering for the convention, your coordinator will provide you with a code to use at checkout. You will apply it to the box "Apply Coupon"
- Then update the cart for the coupon to apply. You should see that it removes the value of the coupon in the final total.
Step 7: Finish checkout
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT CONVENTION!! If you have any questions, please email info@mache.org.
Speaker applications for the 2024 MÂCHÉ Convention are now closed. However, you may still submit your request to speak, but know that those applications that were received by the deadline of September 30th will take first priority in the selection process. There are certainly times when plans for a speaker changes and we need to look for other applicants to meet a need. Please note that selections for speakers will not be finalized until October 2023 with notifications being sent out by the end of that month. If you are interested in applying, please email speakers@mache.org.
The 2024 MÂCHÉ Convention exhibitor registrations are currently by invite only. General exhibitor registration will be open later this month, October. All inquiries to exhibit are welcome. If you are interested in becoming an exhibitor for the next convention, you can find out more information and details here.
Please note, MÂCHÉ does reserve the right to choose exhibitors, not all applications or returning requests for participation are granted. It's not personal, it is based on our space and the needs of our homeschooling community.
MÂCHÉ also welcomes advertising year-round. You can register your request by following this link here.
***Check back often as we continue to update the exhibitor list!

Introducing...Daren Streblow
Daren Streblow’s unique style of observational stand-up comedy has been entertaining hundreds-of-thousands of people throughout the United States and around the world since he first stepped on the stage in 1995. Daren headlines churches, fundraisers, corporate functions, and colleges all over North America. He’s a “humor opportunist” who is always looking for the comical side of life and how people live it. He takes topics that everyone can relate to and filters them through his unique lens where connecting A to B leads to a letter in the Greek alphabet or maybe salad dressing.
With an offbeat style that has earned him the title “The King of Uncool,” Daren’s demeanor carries an audience along at an easy pace, and often takes people by surprise with the intensity of their own laughter. He works hard to craft his humor in well-oiled routines that works magic with the audience and creates a solid connection with them, often catering to their specific age, profession, or background. Added to his love for stories, comical facial expression, and wild antics, you have a presentation that is both sophisticated and wacky, whimsical and thoughtful, and just plain fun to behold.
Born in Ely, Minnesota, Daren grew up with a robust imagination. He loved superheroes, which often got him into trouble. He would pin a large “S” on his chest, wrap a dishtowel around his neck, and jump into moving traffic to stop the villainous drivers. Fortunately for him, it always worked. He also found amusement in shooting arrows at neighbor’s houses and occasionally lighting campfires in their basements. He confesses that his mother “wasn’t at her emotional best during those years.”
Daren is often asked if he was the class clown in school. “Not really” he says. “I had a sense of humor, but it was pretty raw and unrefined. So when I cracked jokes in class most of my classmates thought I was being serious and wrote me off as a space alien.” Daren’s humor did occasionally cause his teachers to laugh out loud. “But making the teacher laugh didn’t score a lot of points with my peers.”
Daren’s mother saw that he needed a creative outlet and encouraged him to take a part-time job at KDNW radio in Duluth, Minnesota. “I was 16 and had this super-deep voice that made listeners think I was 40. So they thought it was weird when I was telling them little stories about something funny that happened in algebra class.”
He earned a degree in communications from University of Minnesota, Duluth. At the time, Daren believed he was pursuing a lifelong career in radio, but a strange event changed his direction. Out of the blue, a still small voice told him to be a comedian. Weird. However, Daren says he will tell you all the details if you ask him and he insists there were no drugs involved.
Early in his comedy career, Daren met comedian Brad Stine who became an instrumental influence on the young performer’s development. Brad encouraged Daren to get involved in open-mic nights at comedy clubs. For 4 years Daren drove 2 1/2 hours to Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, performed a 3 to 7 minute set, and drove back home. He says those years were his comedy education and if you can learn to make people laugh with clean comedy in an open-mic environment, it will work anywhere.
Daren Streblow enjoys the challenge and creativity that comes with being a clean comedian. He performs around the United States and around the world in clubs, colleges, corporations, and even churches with a hysterical act that is getting rave reviews from people of all walks of life.
In 2011, Daren was given the opportunity to bring his comedy back to the airwaves. Media Outfitters Inc., teamed up with Daren and launched the syndicated “Daren Streblow Comedy Show” providing a weekly dose of classy comedy to the United States and overseas. The show can be heard in over 70 markets — a number that continues to grow at a rapid pace.

No refunds will be offered after that time period. Transfers of a convention registration may be made to another person, but you will process this transfer on your own. MÂCHÉ would also appreciate knowing who has purchased your registration so that it does not cause confusion at the registration tables the day of convention. Please note that your MACHE membership is not transferable.

A: February 1, 2024, for Family & Missional Partners; February 16, 2024, for all MÂCHÉ subscribers and non-subscribers.
Q: Does the registration fee include my spouse?

This helps us keep better track of our needs and participation. Children under 18 months of age are FREE. Teen Track is now a registration option this year along with adult, youth, and grandparent. Please be sure to register for the correct options. Students not registered for Teen Track will not be admitted to Teen Track this year. We had some confusion last year with the youth registration. Teen Track and Youth registration are NOT the same thing. Thank you for helping us distinguish the registration and allow us a good headcount for the teen program. The teen registration includes consumables and a book with the fee.

A: No, we will not have on-site registration this year. Please plan accordingly to have pre-purchased your admissions prior to May 14th.

Q: What does it cost to check my stroller and/or leave my purchases?
A: It costs $3.00 for one stub and you can check as much as you need or want to under that ticket stub.
Strollers
Q: Will strollers be allowed?
A: MÂCHÉ has always had a no stroller policy. If, however, you have a health issue that requires the use of a stroller for your child, please email info@mache.org with the details. This will allow us to plan accordingly. We will consider the situation on a case by case basis. Under these circumstances you will be given a special stroller tag so that the security team will know it has been approved by MÂCHÉ. All other strollers will be parked by the storage & strollers check location.

A: No, you will only need to register your student for the Teen Track, if they will be attending the teen track program.
Q: Is Teen Track and Youth registration the same thing?

Your Family and God’s Plan for the World
Workshop Room: Ballroom 1
By: Dr. Rob Rienow
God wants to use your family, with all your struggles and challenges, to make a difference in the world for Christ. Throughout the Scriptures, God gives His people a “multi-generational Great Commission.” This message will encourage your entire family to expand your vision for how the Lord can use your family to bless the world and build His Kingdom.
Handouts:College Readiness by Crown College
Workshop Room: Suite 108
By: Dr. Darin Mather
As parents, you want the best education for your kids. Studies show home educated students “go to and succeed at college at an equal or higher rate than the general population” (Dr. Brian D. Ray, NHERI.org). So how do you know if your child is ready for college and can succeed? This workshop will discuss different areas to assess before enrolling your child in college.
Handouts:Critical Connections: What Brain Science Teaches Us about Teaching Neurodiverse Children
Workshop Room: Suite 104
By: Dr. Amy Moore
In this lively talk, cognitive psychologist and child development specialist Dr. Amy Moore shares what brain science teaches us about how to build resilience in our children to help them succeed even when they struggle. With a little humor combined with science-based practical tips and strategies, Dr. Amy shares the importance of parenting through a lens of connection, the art of co-regulation of big emotions, and how to strengthen executive function skills that are the foundation for thinking and learning.
Handouts:Cultivating Language Arts – Preschool Through High School
Workshop Room: Suite 105
By: Andrew Pudewa
Listening and reading well, speaking and writing clearly, and thinking and debating effectively are abilities that most parents hope to cultivate in their children. With that goal in mind, Andrew Pudewa explores various environments and activities that accelerate the development of these language skills, beginning with the youngest students and continuing into the high school years.
Handouts:Dad’s Essential Role
Workshop Room: Suite 102
By: Dr. Roger Smith
What’s a dad to do? In a busy home, dads often find themselves being dragged along in all the activity involving the children. But can it be another way? The influence of the father can be the thing that helps all the activity stay on course. Dr. Smith will share ways he and others have made significant contributions to the home in the midst of a busy career. This session will not be an attempt to produce guilt about failures, but will offer solutions and hope for increasing the influence of dad in the home, resulting in everyone being more happy.
Handouts:Getting “Educated”: Learning from your Homeschooling Mistakes by Free Lutheran Bible College
Workshop Room: Suite 107
By: Rebecca Moan
Being a homeschooling parent is an education in itself. A 23-year home educator will candidly share how she got “schooled” in everything from priorities and peer pressure and perfectionism to technology and textbooks and time management. These lessons surfaced while teaching her five children, caring for her mother, navigating two sons’ diagnoses, and attempting to get supper on the table! In this workshop, you’ll be encouraged to implement strategies to navigate day-to-day life as a home educator and to rest in God’s grace when challenges come your way.
Handouts:Homeschooling: Starting Off Right
Workshop Room: Suite 103
By: Trisha Pull
Starting the homeschool journey can be an overwhelming and intimidating process. How do you decide which curriculum to use? How should your home be set up for learning? What does the law require of homeschoolers? Is there a right way to homeschool? This session is designed to address beginning topics like state homeschool laws, how to choose curriculum, understanding your children’s learning styles, finding support for you and your homeschool, and making learning a lifestyle. It’s my hope that you’ll leave this session feeling equipped and confident for the school year ahead.
Handouts:How Music Critically Impacts Your Child’s Intelligence by Children’s Music Academy
Workshop Room: Suite 114

As homeschooling parents, we have a unique opportunity to nurture sibling relationships among our children. Find out practical ways to do this and what an IMPORTANT part of our homeschooling it really is!
Handouts:Parenting in the Digital Age: Winning the Battle for Our Children’s Minds and Attention
Workshop Room: Suite 101
By: Dr. Danny Huerta
In a recent survey, 54% of teens say it would be hard to give up social media and 62% of parents say their 3- to 4-year-old child uses a smartphone. We are inundated with distractions and influences. Sadly, children are struggling mentally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and physically. It is no surprise that loneliness, anxiety, and depression have all risen among youth. There is truly a spiritual battle taking place for our children’s minds and attention. In this workshop, we will discuss what drives behaviors and decision-making, and we will explore the different personalities and how these may impact communication and digital behaviors. You will leave with practical parenting tools to navigate the reality of a digital age, and you will learn more about the seven traits of effective parenting and how to use these traits to guide your children toward health, true connection, steadfastness, and a thriving faith in Christ.
Handouts:Raising Godly Girls in a Culture of Confusion by American Heritage Girls
Workshop Room: Suite 108
By: Rachael Culpepper
Today’s youth are facing a culture that twists God’s Truth into matters of opinion. Culture says that identity is malleable, individual emotions dictate global reality, and the Biblical Worldview is outdated, or worse yet, completely irrelevant. But a Godly girl knows that her identity is rooted in Christ, that she can put the feet of her faith on a Solid Rock, and that the opinions of today don’t change the eternal truths found in Scripture. So how do you raise a girl deeply rooted in Jesus? In Raising Godly Girls in a Culture of Confusion, American Heritage Girls® Founder & Executive Director Patti Garibay will explore current cultural struggles and characteristics of today’s youth and give parents, educators, and ministry leaders the wisdom, tools, and applicable advice they need to counter the culture.

Workshop Room: Suite 102
By: Gretchen Roe
When parents think their children are struggling, they reach for a diagnosis. The challenge with a diagnostic label is that it limits your vision of what is possible. Using the principles of neuroplasticity, accommodation, and adaptation, learn how you can help your different learners continue to thrive in your home.

Handouts:The Insidious Nature of Schooling
Workshop Room: Suite 105
By: Rev. Dr. Seann Dikkers
For the history lovers, this session will review 150 years of government schooling in America against the backdrop of freedom keeping Christian education. We’ll review key legislation, key thought leaders, and the motivation, design, and intentions of education leaders; answering questions like “What were government schools designed for?”, “Where they go so wrong?”, “How might the system itself be contributing to the dumbing down of learning?”, and clarify how powerfully different home discipleship is in contrast.
Handouts:The School of Regrets: Getting the Education that You Missed by Memoria Press
Workshop Room: Suite 106
By: Dr. D.T. Sheffler
I constantly hear from parents that picking curriculum for homeschooling their children makes them aware of just how much they missed in their own education. Sometimes this happens because we were terrible students. Usually, however, it wasn’t our fault—a classical education was taken from us because we happened to be born in the era of collapsing progressive education. So what do we do now? I’m here to tell you that it is never too late to get a classical education. In this talk I will explain how best to achieve this as an adult.

Handouts:Your Child’s Best Teacher by Craig Harrison
Workshop Room: Suite 107
By: Craig Harrison
The number of homeschooling households has exploded in recent years as parents have increasingly recognized their children’s education is too important to outsource. Contrary to what you’ve heard, it doesn’t take a village to raise tomorrow’s leaders—it takes a proactive, involved, and steadfast family. Children flourish best within the structure of the family, which is why families have long been recognized as the building blocks of strong societies and why tyrants throughout history have sought to destroy the family unit.
Although parents have commonly allowed the government to educate their children without a second thought, more now question this default position. And with the resources and support networks available today, the barriers to educating your own children have never been lower. In contrast to the ancient Greeks who took children out of the home to teach them in the academy, Hebrew culture viewed education as the responsibility of parents. Parents were tasked with instilling values and passing on an ethical worldview to their children, allowing them to gain wisdom, not just knowledge; to learn to do what is right, not merely what’s expedient; to judge truth rather than simply obey authority.
This workshop is about what the speaker has learned on his journey in home education. He will share his perspective as an engineer and a father and offer encouragement to any parents that have embraced, or are considering, the calling of becoming the full-time educators of their children.
Whatever your situation may be, whether you’re a mom or dad, whether the primary teacher or a supportive spouse, Craig will share tips that will help you begin to establish your priorities, avoid pitfalls, think through challenges, solve problems, and create a unique
home education program in which your child will flourish!

Dr. Rob Rienow - Keynote Speaker
Rob married Amy in 1994 and they have been blessed with 7 children. His most important ministry is loving his wife and leading his children to know God and love Him. Rob’s mom came to Christ shortly after he was born, so he was blessed to be introduced to Jesus at an early age. His parents divorced when he was in high school, and God used that painful time in his life to give him a heart for young people and families going through dark times. He attended Wheaton College, then completed an MA in theology at Wheaton College Graduate School, an MDiv from Trinity International Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Rob’s life dramatically changed in 2004 when God brought him to a place of deep repentance over the fact that he was discipling other people’s children, but not his own. He was a spiritual leader at church, but passive with his family. Through that time of repentance, God turned his heart to the ministry of his children and his wife. God then led Rob and Amy to launch Visionary Family Ministries, a ministry designed to inspire parents and grandparents to disciple their children, to help couples create mission-driven marriages, and to equip churches to build Bible-driven ministries.
Rob is a pastor and church planter at Gospel Fellowship Church and serves as the founder of Visionary Family Ministries, whose mission is to build the church through a global reformation of family discipleship. He shares the biblical message of family discipleship at national and international conferences for parents, couples, and church leaders.
He is the author of the books Visionary Parenting (Randall House), God’s Grand Vision for the Home (Awana), Visionary Parenting (Randall House), Reclaiming the Sufficiency of Scripture (Randall House), When They Turn Away: Drawing Your Adult Child Back to Christ (Kregel), and his latest book for church leaders, Limited Church: Unlimited Kingdom – Uniting Church and Family in the Great Commission. He and Amy also wrote Visionary Marriage (Randall House) to help couples capture a compelling, biblical vision for their life together. The Rienow family lives in West Chicago, IL.

Schedule for Friday, May 17th:
10:30-11:30 am - Dave Glander - Darwin vs Moses
It has been several thousand years since Moses was inspired by the Holy Spirit to pen the accounts of Creation as God gave him the information. On November 24, 1859, Charles Darwin published what he claimed was the best explanation as to how creation has evolved into everything that we now see. Showing grace to both of these authors, we realize that neither of them had access to microscopy or even the amount of paleontological evidence we have available to us today. But now we do! This talk will take a look at the claims of both men through the lens of advanced modern science to see which one of them was closest to what we now know about our universe. We will have fun while we seek to understand the answers to the question of our origins and see that one of them got it right.
1:00-2:00 pm - Dave Glander - Can we Trust the Bible?
Is there enough evidence to support the fact that the Bible is just as reliable today as it was when it was originally written? What does archaeology and history have to say about the accuracy of the author’s details? Are there any signs of supernatural revelations that can be found that can prove divine authorship? This talk will look at each of those questions and seed to give solid answers that will satisfy even the most skeptical minds.
2:30-3:30 pm - Carl Kerby - There is no Evidence for the Resurrection . . . DeBunked!
Few events in history rival the significance of Jesus Christ's resurrection. For some, it's dismissed as a mere myth, a tale embraced by those seeking solace in a life crutch. Conversely, for many others, it is the pivotal moment that transforms their lives. The question is: does any evidence beyond the Bible support the occurrence of this event? The concise response is... YES! However, you'll have to join us for the comprehensive presentation to delve into the details.
4:00-5:00 pm - Dave Glander - Is Jesus the Only Way
There are a lot of propositions about how a person may get into the everlasting heaven. However, while there’s a possibility, they could all be wrong, they can’t all be right! This talk will compare the foundational beginnings from 3 of the major religions taught around the world and learn why Christianity stands alone as the best possible explanation for where we go when we die.
Schedule for Saturday, May 18th:
10:30-11:30 am - Dave Glander - Open Voices Help Make Choices
Have you ever had a best friend that did, or said something quirky, only to find yourself doing the exact same thing as they do after a while? That’s because whether we choose to, or not, we are directly impacted by our surroundings. This talk examines the influence our culture has on our worldview through music, movies, television, commercials, etc., and warns that if we don’t intentionally protect our ear “gates” and our eye “gates,”that we too will become like the culture. It is imperative that we are conscientious about who we choose to hang out with and listen to in order to maintain a godly walk with Jesus Christ.
1:00-2:00 pm - Carl Kerby - What Kind of Disciple Are We . . . And Are We Training?
Using the Scripture, Carl will share two different types of disciples found in the Bible. Unpacking the discipleship practices during Jesus's era holds relevance for our contemporary context. This discussion guides individuals seeking a deeper connection with the Lord in their spiritual journey. Additionally, it provokes believers to reconsider and intensify their commitment to the missionary calling placed upon them.
2:30-3:30 pm - Tina Marie Griffin - Exposing and Navigating Today’s Pop Culture Chaos
4:00-5:00 pm - OPEN PANEL - Q&A

Testimonials
The MACHE Convention is like the ultimate date weekend for my husband and I. Not only do we enjoy the getaway and refreshment, but we have intentional time to learn together, set new goals, and recalibrate. There are very few other things that put us on the same page like this weekend does. There's so much to love! As a Jesus follower, book lover and conference junkie,... being there with my husband is like heaven!
I know a lot of work goes into these conventions and I just want to say thank you so much! This was my husband's first year going and he was amazed at the speakers and resources available. He said it was the best Bible conference he has ever been at and he doesn't understand why more people aren't going! You made a life long attendee! Nice work!
The 2019 MACHE Conference was such an incredible blessing! This is "year 14" for me as a home school mom, and after struggling with chronic illness the past two semesters, this conference was just what I needed (even while running on little energy). Thank you for finding such encouraging and convicting speakers, and bringing such a wealth of materials, vendors, and experience to the conference again this year! Truly blessed
I always love going to the MACHE conventions! I was just telling my in-laws that we wouldn't have become the parents nor the homeschoolers we are if it wasn't for MACHE. It is an excellent tool when a family is just beginning all the way through teenage years. It has been vital to the sucess of homeschooling, family and my marriage. The conferences have given us invaluable resources every single time! I am always excited to go back!!
Our family first attended the MACHE conference in 2014 while trying to decide whether to remove our kids from public school or not. After that first Thursday session in 2014, we made the decision to follow our calling from the Lord and bring our kids home. We haven't looked back since. We attend the conference every year to really refocus our hearts and minds, receive encouragement and education, scan the curriculum options and most importantly, connect with other homeschooling families. MACHE is a true blessing and we are grateful for all of the time and effort to put on such a useful, meaningful and special event. Keep up the good work MACHE!!
I am so thankful that I was able to attend the convention again this year. The Lord met my husband and I there throughout the various workshops and speakers...encouraging us and confirming His direction for our next year of home education.
My husband and I had a wonderful, refreshing time at the conference! God graciously answered every question I had before heading into the weekend. Every speaker we saw spoke just what we were hoping to learn about. Thank you Lord and thank you MACHE for such an amazing time!
Thanks for all your countless hours of work putting this convention together. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed. We always love the MACHE conference and leave uplifted and encouraged. Our kids are not sure they like it since we always come home with new ideas and convictions, like less screen time.
Thank you so much to all who work and plan to put on the MACHE Convention Weekend. I have always been encouraged and blessed. Praying that this ministry will continue to be available for many many years to help strengthen families in the Lord.
This event was a new experience for us. I enjoyed it much more than I expected and found myself coming away refreshed, encouraged, and equipped to make positive changes and plans for the next year.
