By: CAP 1Lt Dennis Swanson

EXHIBITOR WORSHIP (Civil Air Patrol). ?Civil Air Patrol, the all-volunteer auxiliary of the US Air Force, performs three community-focused missions: Aerospace Education (AE), Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services (ES). AE offers aero- space-themed educational materials & instruction for preschool to junior college. Adult members may order curriculum for no cost, and Educator members may apply for STEM kits at no cost. Cadets may join CAP between ages 12-18. As part?of their AE, cadets are offered ten free orientation flights in various CAP aircraft; follow-on flight instruction is available. They also receive instruction in military appreciation and history, citizenship, community service, and physical fitness. CAP is one of the entities called upon during disasters or incidents (ES). While the response to a real emergency is per- formed by adult members, cadets receive ES training so that they are ready to serve when they turn 18.
