Outside Voices Help Make Choices – 2024

Have you ever had a best friend that did or said something quirky, only to find yourself doing the exact same thing as they do after a while? That’s because whether we choose to, or not, we are directly impacted by our surroundings. This talk examines the influence our culture has on our worldview through music, movies, television, commercials, etc., and warns that if we don’t intentionally protect our ear “gates” and our eye “gates,” that we too will become like the culture. It is imperative that we are conscientious about who we choose to hang out with and listen to in order to maintain a godly walk with Jesus Christ.
