Teaching and Reaching the Least of These: Homeschooling and Caring for Foster Children

Many homeschooling families are opening their homes to children in foster care. The one-on-one instruction homeschooling provides within the safe, loving home environment can be a place of healing, hope and growth for these children who are often suffering from social, emotional and physical trauma. Dana has homeschooled foster children and has worked with the local school system while continuing to homeschool her own children. The Wilsons have had children from newborn to young adolescent in their home, making routine social worker visits a part of their family?s life.
