Teaching Spelling: When Our Memory Fades

Perhaps no cognitive act exemplifies the wonder of God’s creation than the act of spelling. This workshop looks both at spelling and spelling rules, and it also examines the physical aspects of spelling. Karen, a learning disability therapist, shows parents and teachers how to make spelling a thinking rather than merely a memorization process. She also answers these question, “Why do some very bright students spell poorly? “What can we do to improve their spelling skills?”
