Brian Wicklund

Brian Wicklund is a bluegrass teacher and fiddle player from Marine On St. Croix, MN. He has been playing the violin most of his life and specifically fiddle and bluegrass since his early teens. In 2001, he wrote an instructional series for fiddle called The American Fiddle Method published by Mel Bay. It is now the best selling bluegrass instructional method and includes books for mandolin, viola, cello and piano. He teaches private lessons, fronts the band The Barley Jacks, founded Bluegrass College,(an online instructional site) and Fiddle Pal Camp in 2008, now in Stillwater, Minnesota, Madison, Wisconsin and Newton, Massachusetts.
