Dr. Bernard Mauser
Bernard James Mauser, Ph.D., is a professor at the SDC Rivendell College Program in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Dr. Mauser earned his Bachelor of Science from Youngstown State University. His Master’s degree is from Southern Evangelical Seminary, with a focus on Christian Apologetics, theology, religious studies, and philosophy of religion. During this time he discovered that most errors in thinking about reality resulted from having a philosophy built on the wrong foundation. This realization provided the motivation to pursue a doctorate in philosophy from Marquette University with a concentration in the history of philosophy, ethics, natural law, Thomas Aquinas, and medieval philosophy. His doctoral dissertation is titled The Ontological Foundations of Natural Law and Contemporary Naturalism.
Dr. Mauser has taught students at the graduate, undergraduate, secondary, and primary levels of school. He has been a youth pastor at several churches, martial arts instructor and swing dance instructor. He has also taught at Marquette University, Southern Evangelical Seminary, Liberty University, Cardinal Stritch University, and Bethlehem Bible College and Seminary.
Dr. Mauser and his wife, Amber, have been blessed with four sons who they home school.
