Jamie Erickson

Jamie Erickson, founder and popular education blogger at The Unlikely Homeschool, holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in public speaking and oral interpretation of literature. When she’s not curating memories, hoarding vintage books, or playing ringmaster to her own live-in circus of five, she can be found encouraging and equipping parents all across the globe who find themselves in the everyday trenches of homeschooling. She is a contributing author to How We Teach, The Big Book of Homeschooling Ideas, and The Big Book of Homeschooling Ideas Volume 2, three collaborative books put together by iHomeschool Network. Her first book, Homeschool Bravely, is set to be released by Moody Publishers in April 2019.  In addition to speaking and writing, Jamie loves talking faith and family over a cup of Starbuck’s finest, collecting calories around a table full of friends, and taking grueling hikes with her formerly-homeschooled husband, Dain (because alas, calories don’t display very nicely on a shelf like other collections).
