Group Details:
Our support group welcomes all home educators from the Freeborn county and surrounding areas. Our monthly and some weekly gatherings offer activities such as a meet ‘n greet, kayaking, rock climbing, geo-caching, bowling, ice skating, gym and swim, Valentine’s party, teen time and games for all. We try to implement mini co-op workshops including science, art, singing, history, writing and whatever parents would like to share at each gathering. We try to be of service to the community by volunteering and singing at rest homes. We send out a monthly e-newsletter which has alerts and field trip announcements as well as books for sale. We enjoy fellowship at our supportive parent gatherings which include discussions about curriculum and any home education topics. Any parent or teen is welcome to share their time and talent with leading any activity if they feel comfortable. We would love to meet more home educators, so we’d love to hear from you!
