Group Details:

Wings Homeschool Group meets in Maple Grove on two Thursdays most months during the school year. Different than a “co-op”, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Parents have minimal volunteering:  2 days, 3 hours serving as a helper in a classroom (no prep necessary). When not serving as Parent Helper, the other 11 dates you can use the three hours during Wings to stay on-site if desired, or use the drop-off option  – shop, nap, work, clean your house, etc – it’s whatever you need Wings to be for you!

We have classes in a Christian environment for children 6 months old thru age 14 (age on Sept 1). Older students (age 7+) take art, phy-ed, and STEM (science/technology/engineering/math).  Nursery (6 mo. Thru 2 yrs) stay in their classroom and enjoy engaging activities and playtime with their tutor(s).  Ages 3-4 and 5-6 have time in the gym, plus their class time including show and tell, read aloud, art/crafts, and other fun preschool/K/1^st grade activities.

Other information: We are peanut/nut-free and allergy-sensitive. We do a fantastic yearbook each year with a volunteer yearbook team. Parents volunteer to set up field trips for added learning, enjoyment, and friendship opportunities. We kick off each year with a lovely Moms Tea, and end with a showcase social in the spring.
