Parenting in the Digital Age: Winning the Battle for Our Children’s Minds and Attention
In a recent survey, 54% of teens say it would be hard to give up social media and 62% of parents say their 3- to 4-year-old child uses a smartphone. We are inundated with distractions and influences. Sadly, children are struggling mentally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and physically. It is no surprise that loneliness, anxiety, and depression have all risen among youth. There is truly a spiritual battle taking place for our children’s minds and attention. In this workshop, we will discuss what drives behaviors and decision-making, and we will explore the different personalities and how these may impact communication and digital behaviors. You will leave with practical parenting tools to navigate the reality of a digital age, and you will learn more about the seven traits of effective parenting and how to use these traits to guide your children toward health, true connection, steadfastness, and a thriving faith in Christ.
