Kate Ophoven

KATE OPHOVEN is a homeschool graduate with a passion for justice and a love for books, research, and writing. Having graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University with a hybrid liberal arts and science degree, she brings a unique perspective to family and homeschooling, drawing on influences from Scripture, classical political theory, sociology, criminology, and theology. She firmly believes that Scripture is sufficient for every area of life and enjoys when secular researchers unknowingly confirm Biblical principles. Her particular area of research lies at the intersection of family, socialization, and crime – a thesis she is continually developing. She is eternally grateful to her parents for choosing home education for her and her three younger siblings and enjoys sharing her homeschool experience with others. She lives in Minnesota where she is applying to graduate school, is an emergency first responder, and serves as a consultant at a pregnancy care center.
